Welcome to the Florida State University Kiteboard Association! We are a college club made up of students that attend FSU who kiteboard, or are looking to learn the extreme sport of kiteboarding. The club was founded in 2002, and has been growing steadily ever since. We welcome anyone who is interested in trying the sport, and those who already know how to ride. The club owns 13 kites and 6 boards that are readily available to any member of the association. Dues for members are 100 dollars per semester. This gives the member access to any of the gear, and instruction.
As a club we go to the beach every week. Our main beach is Alligator Point, or Bald Point; which is a 45 minute drive South from Tallahassee. We also make weekend trips to destinations like Jacksonville, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Key West, Jupiter, Daytona, and others.
This year we have begun to compete in college kiteboarding circuit. We have been to several competitions so far. The final competition is scheduled to be in Key West over Spring Break! Show your support for our club and come out to out weekly meetings!

We had a very successful year. In club rankings, we managed to rise from 35th to 7th in the school! This won us most improved club of the year and will guarantee an even better '08-'09 season. Many improvements were made this year, and we are on track for more in the Fall.
FSU Kiteboarding participated in 3 competitions around Florida; placing in many of them. Trips were taken frequently throughout this year to Key West, St. Pete, Jacksonville, Tampa, Ft. Walton, Shell Point, Bald Point, and Alligator Point. We were able to ride about 50 days this school year, and our membership sky-rocketed as well. So join us again in the fall for more Kiteboarding! |
